The Dream- So Real So Fake

Even though this is clearly a demo, anything feat. Dream and production by Tricky Stewart, is easily worth the listen... Expect to hear this song used by one of the 1st ladies of R&B in the very near future

So Real So Fake

T-Pain- Therapy (Kanye West)

Well, Thr33 Ringz has sprung a leak, supposedly by Apple (Itunes) of all companies, which means there could be some lawsuits involved. Here's a little sample of what is a HOTTT album (if u really would've guessed otherwise)

Ryan Leslie- How It Was Supposed To Be

I'm not sure about you all, but I've been feelin most of the material R-Lez has put out. Its refreshingly different and is pretty smooth overall. This is one of my favorite joints that I've heard, check it....

The Dream- That Booty (ft Lil Jon)

Man, this is an interesting collabo, but u can count on this being a frequent in the clubs ASAP, as The Dream and Lil Jon come together for a banger. This is the first offering off of The Dreams sophmore CD, Love vs Money, yet ANOTHER CD that I am anticipating ..

Ne-yo- Don't Work That Way

Ne-yo seems to have a CRAZY amount of new/unreleased material, some of which I feel could have been added to or even replaced some joints on 'Year Of The Gentleman'...Check this one out....

T.I. ft Rihanna- Live Your Life Video

TIP carries over the success from the BLAZING HOTTT Paper Trail to a GREAT video

T-Pain- Ringleader Man

Remember that joint T-Pain debut at the BET awards that EVERYONE was asking about..it has FINALLY leaked...Good looks to the boy Streets

Ringleader Man

Drake

WHY ISN'T DRAKE GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES??? Answer that, and you might also know the meaning of life...Im determined to do my part to MAKE SURE homeboi gets the respect/acknowledgement/recognition that he deserves, and I'll continue with 4 more BANGERS that u may or may not have heard

Rewind (ft Voyce)
I Want This Forever (ft Lil Wayne)

TALENT

Thursday, October 23, 2008

Keri Hilson- Return the Favor (ft Timbaland)

The video for the talented Ms. Hilson's 2nd single

Drake- Pop Rose (Trey Songz)

Heres another one from one of my FAVORITE current rappers, Drake, and his 'side-kick' Trey Songz...

(Thanks Y2k)

Ryan Leslie- Quick Sand

If u've been a frequent of PNL, u know that I'm looking forward to see what Ryan Leslie's debut CD will be like. Unfortunately, due to a number of issues, it has been delayed until February '09. This joint is pretty cool tho, and brings up the question of why the CD has been so difficult to get out if he's putting together quality materials like this? (shouts to Lowkey over at UHTN for tis one)....Keepin' coming

Kanye's my favorite ARTIST...

You HAVE TO appreciate a risk taker. 'Ye is at the top of the rap game, and he decides to go completely left and make a CD that he SINGS on for a majority of the songs? That is what you call an ARTIST ladies and gentleman; he feels it and he does it. And while it may make NO sense if looked at from the surface, it makes PERFECT sense when u realize that an ARTIST' best work is done when he acually puts his soul into it. Sure he could make his 'typical' (if Kanye actually does anything typical/predictable) and be safe, but he is willing to put his all into singing, something he probably has no business doing. 808's and Heartbreak will probably be a classic...

Kanye West visits Big Boy's Neighborhood from qdeezy on Vimeo.

Ludacris ft T-Pain- One More Drink (video)

Drop It...

Ahh its good to be back, after dealing with some computer issues and mid-terms, I've returned to take the weight off of J whose been holding the blog down for about a month... My first offering is this Drumma Boy produced Sophia Fresh joint Drop It... It'll have u thinking about Ciara, which as far as im concerned earns it a spot on my Ipod...

Trey Songz- In Ya Phone (Ft Fabolous)

Two artist who I feel do not get the recognition they deserve despite CONSISTENTLY putting out quality music come together for this joint. Trey Songz and Fab HAVE TO BE two of the hardest working artist in the industry, and rarely put out sub par material

Ciara- Go Girl (remix) (ft Gorilla Zoe and T-Pain)

Gorilla Zoe is one of those rappers that can add postively to a track on a track-by-track basis; meaning sometimes it goes well with a track and sometimes he ruins what was a good song. This is one of his more positive showings IMO. New beat, cool verse, HOTTT remix...Cici's doing her thing, looking forward to her album coming out next month

Jagged Edge- Locked Out

Is it just me or does most Jagged Edge CD's sound like one long song??? I swear their songs ALL sound the same lol. But hey, stick to what works right? And they've been making hits for years, so I can dig it

Slim- Seductive

The second single off of Slim's upcoming solo devut, Love's Crazy. This one is DEFINITELY worth a DL; hot production, cool overall lyrics, and Slim's falsetto goes good with the track

Thursday, October 16, 2008

Usher- Take U There (ft Beanie Sigel)

Pretty unique collabo here from the boy Ursher ..I've always been a Beanz fan tho, so his appearance is more then welcomed...

Musiq- So Beautiful

Musiq Soulchild experimenting a little with a falsetto sound. Song is actually pretty hot tho..

Beyonce Visuals

Mrs. Knowles-Carter is gearing up for her Nov release of 'I am' with two new videos (yeah I kno Im late posting 'If I were a Boy' but my internet connection is messing up)...Looks like the girl B still has it, and marriage hasn't stopped her from her 'Independent Woman' movement. Feel her all the way, but still waiting on a single about THE WOMAN doing wrong in the course of a relationship cuz man hating gets old; oh yeah, I forgot, like ma' said, they're ALWAYS right lol.

Friday Night Bangers

Bunch of HOTTT new music came out today....

First up the multi-talented Ne-yo w/ a different approach to being the 'Other man.' While many would be on the 'Take ur girl' thing, Ne-yo is telling a could-be of his to stay with the 'Real Thing'

Real Thing

Next Up New Luda ft The Game and Willy Northpole (who the hell???? lol) with a hottt joint that is more then likely featured on Luda's upcoming LP

Call Up The Homies

Drake- Sooner Than Later

Ok, Drake spits flames on just about everything I've heard; homeboi's metaphor and word play game is just on some next level sh*t. BUT, he also sings and does his r&b thing too, and does it quite well..While not the most rangy in terms of his singing, he has a smooth voice that goes well with a track, well, a track like this........

M.I.A.- Boys (Remix) ft Jay-Z

Here's the 2nd single off of M.I.A.'s album. Never was that into her b4 Swagger Like Us dropped, but have known for some time now that she has a pretty loyal following. I'll definitely have to check her stuff out more.

MI.A.- Boys (remix) ft Jay-Z

Nas ft The Game and Chris Brown- Make The World Go Round

Slim- Good Lovin' (ft Ryan Leslie)

Another cut off of Slim's (formerly of 112) upcoming album has surfaced, this time with the assistance of Ryan Leslie and his Next Selection crew.

Plies- Put It On Ya

Here's Plies 1st single off his next album 'Da Realist' which will be released December 16th. At this rate, Plies will have about ten albums done before 2010, considering he is in the process of dropping #3 in just over a year. Yet another thug-pop (for the ladies) and nicely produced track, check it out

Ciara- Go Girl (ft T-Pain) video

Kanye West- Love Lockdown video

Kanye West Heartless at T.I. release party

This one sounds like a BANGER. I will have the CDQ ASAP, so keep checking back...

Drake- Swagger Like Us Freestyle

Normally don't post freestyles/unofficial remix's, but had to post this one. Drake does his thing on most everything I've heard, and it seems like its only a matter of time b4 he blows up

J. Holiday- The Way It Was

New material from J. Holiday and like most of the joints I hear from him, this one is also pretty solid. Looking forward to his upcoming project...

Q (of 112)- Queen Of Mine

I'm interested to see how Q and Slim do as they start their solo careers after a great run with R&B group 112. Nice slow jam here, with strong lyrics and good production. Although Q seems to be able to survive as a solo artist, and Slim's 'So Fly' joint is heating up the clubs right now, I still hope 112 decides to reunite at some point. Probably my favorite R&B group in the last 10 years or so along with Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, and a few select newcomers (i.e. Day 26).

Robin Thicke- Ebb and Flow (Something Else Bonus Track)

Yet another bonus off of Thicke's 'Something Else' that was released on Tuesday, and I think this one is my favorite. And yes, the song IS called EBB and Flow. Its a real smooth, laid back track more or less about letting things ride out and letting them do what they will...Make SURE to go get the album
