J. Holiday

New material from J. Holiday entitled Fly bout the often used theme of "letting something go, and if it comes back, then u know". Looking forward to more new J. Holiday cuz his debut cd, 'Back of my Lac' was a banger

Eletrick Red- Drank In My Cup (Written and Produced by The Dream)

If you make your way to this blog with any sort of regularity, then you already know how I feel about songs The Dream touches... And this is no exception, song is fire...

Drank In My Cup

*Shouts to Dajaz for the link*

Trey Songz- Love Song

Trey has always been one of my favorite artist. Seems like the artist who get started pinning tracks for others are always better off for it. This is another example of good writing and choice of production.

Drake- Closer (ft Andreena Mill)

Closer (ft Andreena Mill)

Me and my homeboys were talking bout why the hell Drake hasn't blown up yesterday. Is it b/c of lack of exposure, lack of credibility (based off being an actor), or is it just because people are TOO dumb to realize when an artist is HOTTT...I can see all three being used as an explanation, and many more come to mind, nonetheless, dude is certified. He's had the hottt features (Wayne, Trey Songz, etc), he's got hottt production, and all together has ripped hottt beats like this to shreds...Whats the Problem..do urself a favor and look in the CBOX

Gym Class Heroes ft Lil Wayne & Dre- Don't Tell Me It's Over

Second time Gym Class Heroes and Wayne have hooked up, and based on those two results, I'm gonna hope this happens more often. Travis's flow is witty, creative, and just all the way solid... everytime i hear it... can't say that about most, and by most I mean very few...

Don't Tell Me It's Over

Ne-Yo- Fade Into The Background

You can always count on a song you can listen to whenever when its Ne-Yo. The quality of his writting is on another level. This isn't my fav production, but unlike most acts today, the lyrics are enough to keep you entertained...

Fade Into The Background

Johnta Austin- Bad Chick

Multiple songwriting credits for Johnta over the years, but most of his material hasn't had the same spark. This is another solid one from him, see how u feel about it...

Young Jeezy- Take It There (Ft Trey Songz)

By now u know (if u've been following), Tuesday is NEW Jeezy day. The Recession is ONE WEEK away and it is shaping up to be a MUST BUY. Another banger right here, as expected...Keep it locked

Take It There

The Dream- Should've Been You

As my homeboi mentioned a few posts ago, everything The Dream touches is FIRE...This is no exception....

Should've Been You

More new T.I.

Of all the upcoming CD's over the next frew months, I think I just might be anticipating Paper Trail the most. Not to say Jeezy's Recession, Ne-Yo's Year Of the Gentleman, Robin Thicke's Something Else, T- Pains Thr33 Ringzm, and Ludacris' Theatre of Mind...but T.I. REALLY seems to be coming hard, not only w/ production, but EXREMELY strong lyrics. (He Had the best verse on Swagger Like Us, say he didn't????)..Anyway, here's another leak, this time featuring the "It" girl of the moment

T-Pain ft Lil Wayne- Can't Believe It (Video)

One Chance- Tipsy

Not Sure whats going on with One Chance's CD Private ( I'm guessing Usher put them in the background amidst all his recent happenings), but they have AT LEAST a CD worth of bangers that I've heard. Add this one to the collection. Don't know bout y'all, but I can EASILY relate to this cut: Once I get that buzz, who knows what is said to these women in terms of selling dreams, or just straight shit talking. The line "don't mind me, in the morning I'mma be alright," has been used COUNTLESS times lol...

Here's a few more HOTTTT cuts to get those not as familiar with the group, familiar....

U Can't (ft Lil Wayne)

Now I Know

So Emotional

Speaking In Tongues

Slim Thug- It's Goin Down

Haven't heard anything from Slim in quite a while, but that Already Platinum cd had some certified heat on it, so I'll leave you with a lil bonus to refresh your memory

It's Goin Down

***Bonus***

Diamonds

Morning Pick Me Up....

Anything The Dream touches is damn problem...

Kardinal Offishall ft The Dream- Gimmi Some

Unknown ft. R. Kelly- #1 Sex

Rumored to be Keri Hilson, but I'm not to sure about that

September 2nd is the date...

Young Jeezy- Circulate

***Bonus***

Welcome Back

Like anyone would make her ask for a...

Keri Hilson- Slow Dance

Gym Class Heroes ft. Lil Wayne- Viva La White Girl (Remix)

Slow music day after all the heat we gave you yesterday, but rest assured we'll keep you with something new for your ipod. This track from the Gym Class Heroes 2006 cd As Cruel As School Children is absoulte fire. I know most of you will download anything with Lil Wayne, so I'm gonna force you to open your ears. And for all you Jeezy and Shawty Lo fans, the song is about cocaine so you can keep your street cred after listening to this one.

Viva La White Girl (Remix)

T.I. ft Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Lil' Wayne, M.I.A.- Swagger Like Us

Man, just based off the names on this, u KNOW its a banger and I really dont have to say much else

Swagger Like Us

More New T.I.
Let My Beat Pound

My Life Your Entertainment (ft Usher)

T-Pain- Somebody Tell 'em (Shouts to Lowkey)

The homie Lowkey over at UHTN kept to his promise and let go some new T-Pain. This is a different look from the hitmaker which features him rapping, but if ur a REAL T-Pain fan, u already know thats what he started as, a rapper. I don't blame Lowkey for tagging this joint up, but we'll have the CDQ, non-tagged version ASAP

Somebody Tell 'em

Sho-Nuff!!!

And you thought Kanye was the first with these shades... Anyway R.I.P. to Julius Carry who played Sho-Nuff in the 1985 cult classic The Last Dragon, the details of his death werent released but he was only 56 at his time of death. Shouts to HPOV for the look...

Keri Hilson ft Akon- Mic Check

I know there are more "tradionally" attractive people out, but Keri Hilson's sex appeal is so so serious. But who exactly is Keri Hilson? Seen Usher's Love in the Club video?... Yup that was her. A member of the writting and producing supergroup The Clutch, she has been around since 2001, and has pinned tracks for the likes of Brittany Spears, Chris Brown, Ciara, Usher, Ludacris, and Mary J. just to name a few... At only 25 years of age and on the verge of the release of her 1st album, In a Perfect World in the 4th quarter 2008, Hilson is about to blow... Shouts to UrbanMusic for the track

Mic Check

The Recession is on the way...

Never been the best lyricist (nor ever claimed to be), but look up swag in a dictionary and you just might come across a picture of Jeezy. As far as stage presence no one can hold him. Hip Hop starpower at its finest...

Don't Do It

Amazin

Ne-yo- Miss Indepedent

Its not that he's that much more creative then the most r&b cats out here, he just is better at articulating what most of us can't orally conceptualize. Think Ne-yo might just have a future in this music game (Having Gabriel Union, Keri Hilson, and Lauren London in the same video might help also)...

Mariah Carey ft. LL Cool J & Ghostface Killah- I'll Be Lovin Ya Long Time

Going From T.I. to LL and Ghostface is in no way an upgrade, but its still a solid track on a slow music day... So take what you can get

I'll Be Lovin Ya Long Time

Usher- What Did You Do

Some unreleased Usher right here that I actually am kind of feeling. Not particularly strong, but still better then 98.9% of the R&B crap out right now. Can see why it was left off H.I.S. because it doesn't go with the overall "celebrating love" type of feeling on the album, although it definitely may be on the re-release that is said to be coming to stores b4 Christmas
(Shouts to Sermon for this joint)

Anthony Hamilton- I'm Cool (ft David Banner)

I've always appreciated what Anthony Hamilton brought to R&B; full of soul, real genuine lyrics, and a true southern touch to his music. I really mess with His "Comin from where I'm from" CD that came out a few years back, and it has some classic material on it. Real cool, laid back jam right here, and a nice feature from David Banner.

Drake- Money to Blow (snip) Prod by Drumma Boy

I waited a day or two to see if the full version of this track would pop up, and it hasnt but when it does you know where to find it... Drake over a Drumma Boy beat, just forget about it

Money to Blow

Here's alil bonus to hold you until...

Comeback Season

Songz...

Still not sure how he hasn't blown up really. Conisidering he has put out two quality CD's and his on a bunch of hot joints as the hook man, it seems like its only time b4 he gets the proper recognition. Check this joint out..

The Game- Never Can Say Goodbye (Biggie, 2pac, Eazy E Tribute)

I know we already leaked L.A.X. (CBOX) and dedicated a post to some hot songs off the CD, but I had to bring attention to this one. This is the best that I've heard game lyrically, especially in the way that he tells a story as if he has a first hand account of the deaths of 2pac, Biggie, and Eazy E. He even switches up his flow (most noticeably on the verse devoted to Biggie) to mimic the rap legends. This one is dope, and L.A.X., as a whole, is definitely worth a purchase.

Long Weekend...

A couple of R&B tracks I missed this weekend...

Ray L ft Yung Joc- Shawty Got Me

Ne-yo- In The Way

More unreleased music from the hottest songwriter arguably in R&B. Ever been in a situation where ur trying to make something work, but things just keep getting in the way? No (lol)..well damn, anyway, this is what is being articulated in this song in the way that only Ne-yo can do it. Smooth slower jam for all the lovers out there, stay tunes to W-PNL Radio for all of ur new music needs lmao

In The Way

My Life (video)- The Game ft. Lil' Wane

This song is a certified banger. Real laid back, Game comes with a cool flow and some tight lyrics, whiel Wayne's hook is staight fire. Here's the video that JUST premiered..

Monica ft Ludacris- I'm Still Standing

Atlanta has stars that have taken breaks, stepped outta the spotlight and have the power (and talent in her case) to return when they are ready. Ludacris has been leaking some real material off his upcoming Theatre of the Mind cd, and Luda has always been a beast on the features, mix that with some Bryan Michael Cox production, and you've got something...

I'm Still Standing

***Bonus***

A Mike Jones track with Trey Songz on the hook, except on this one Trey covers the whole track, what more could you ask for lol

Cutty Buddy

Ya Heard (ft. Ludacris) HOTTTTTTTTT

Bulletproof Diaries (ft Raekwon) HOTTT

Want the whole CD? Nah....can't even do it playa..(Message us lol)

***BONUS***
Game talking reckless bout Jay-Z? Not sure how smart that is as a career choice, but u gotta admire is "I don't give a F**K" attitude....That Dear Summer track must not have been enough of a warning, we'll see....And is this retirement stuff real?? I'll believe it when I see it

Interview

Music- Radio

Dropped this track on u all a few months ago, now here's the video. Still can't get used to Musiq being on his club thing, but this song goes HARD

T.I.- Kick It In The Hotel (produced by The Neptunes)

Some more new T.I.P., but this one is NOT on Paper Trail, but rather some mixtape stuff minus the DJ. Little different from T.I. on this one, but I can get with it. Should be a busy next month and a half or so with T.I., Jeezy, Game, Robin Thicke among others releasing Cd's.

Bobby Valentino- Beep Beep (ft Yung Joc)

Bobby V has never quite blown up like the good folks over at DTP once thought he would, hence his release from the label a little while ago. I actualy have liked his first two CD's; Although never too deep in terms of content, he always had some tight production, a few smooth balads, and a couple straight bangers. This one is pretty hot, and Yung Joc comes thru with his usual solid verse...

Joe- Why Just Be Friends

Joe who has been around since most of the people who visit this blog was in elementary school, is back again with another track. Now at 35, he tries something I can't really remember him doing in years past... falsetto... And he does a good job pulling it off... go ahead and give this one a listen.

Why Just Be Friends

Ne-Yo- Not Perfect

Not Perfect

For a time, when i was listening to a song the only thing i was really listening to was the beat... Good thing I got past that because Not Perfect like the vast majority of Ne-Yo's song is lyrically on another level from most artist. Check this one out

Lil' Wayne- Pussy Monster (prod by David Banner)

This is the CDQ of the David Banner produced joint that Wayne often performs at concerts. Typical, cool joint from Wayne. Does he EVER rest?

Pussy Monster
