Bobby V and Yung Joc

Here's two new jams coming from Bobby Valention and Yung Joc Ft Bobby V..Both artist, while not necessarily tops dogs at their craft, always have a few heaters that are sure to get a decent amount of spins

Jadakiss- Letter To BIG (ft Faith Evans) CDQ

So this track was leaked a few days ago, but only the radio rip..Here's the CDQ..I'm not sure if I'm lookin forward to this movie or not. Its definetely got hyped up alot, but homeboi playin Biggie and the fact that Derek Luke is Diddy doesn't feel right..But hopefully they prove me wrong and kill it how it should be done..we'll see Jan 16th

Drake Perfoming Mrs. Officer w/ Lil Wayne

Ne-yo- Can I Keep You Company (Prod by B. Cox)

Missed this one a few days ago, but its a banger..The homeboi Ne-yo is just able to articulate a situation like few others; from the mutual feelings of both males and females, dude just knows how to throw some words together

DJ Khaled ft Jay-Z and Kanye West- Go Hard remix

Jay jumps on the track and spits something sick...shit goes hard

Go Hard (remix)

Nothin Like a Diva

Don't know bout y'all, but a girl who knows she's the sh*t justifiably and has the qualities typically associated w/ a Diva is sexy as hell..Cici jumps on Beyonce's Diva to state her claim. This one is featured on her 'Fantasy Ride' mixtape..Look out for her 1st single (guess Go Girl got dropped) on or b4 January 6th

JD: Living the Life; In the studio w/ Trey Songz and Johnta Austin

I just started keeping up with JD's video series 'Living the Life' for no other reason but to see the life of a music exec/producer/whatever else JD calls himself nowadays

Friday clutter

(Bonus)

Here's some new tracks from the talented Ms. Hilson, Ursher, and the Unreleased-track-king AKA Ne-y0

Belly ft Drake- Girl Let Me

At this point, I post anything NEW with Drake on it..but don't get it twisted, this sh*t goes hard

Justin Timberlake- If I (ft T.I.)

JT seems to be gearing up for some new music, and this definitely deserves a chance to be apart of the new CD. This joint is FIRE, and even features a surprisingly melodic T.I. verse of singing and another of him rapping....BANGER

If I

Ne-yo- Miss Your Company

So, I'm thinking I could put a CD together of all the unreleased tracks that have surfaced since Year Of The Genetleman dropped, and quite possibly make a BETTER cd then it. Not to say it was AT ALL a weak CD, but with songs like 'Comfortable', 'Make u feel good', 'Real Thing', and 'Sexy In Here', dude def has some unreleased heat. Who knows, these all could turn into demos for other artist, and Ne-yo will still get paid in some way or another

Jamie Foxx Intuition bonus tracks

Jamie Foxx put out a banger wit Intuition, and was ABLE to leave joints like the following off of the CD

Sunday, December 14, 2008

Charles Hamilton- Brooklyn Girls (Video)

Friday, December 12, 2008

Jamie Foxx- Intuition

Jamie's 3rd album Intuition drops next tuesday (Dec 16th) and seems to be some more solid work from the man that seems to do a little bit of everything. Make sure you go and cop this next Tuesday. Here are some of my favorites through the first couple listens

Monday, December 8, 2008

Drake- Come Real (ft Kyoko)

At this point, Im convinced Drake probably could do an R&B or Hip Hip Hop CD and they would BOTH be fire...Here's a snip that will probably be featured on his upcoming So far Gone mixtape

Classics

Due to a lack of inspiring and noteworthy music of late, I apologize for the lack of posts. However, I thought we'd try something a little different tonight (and it gives me an excuse to put studying for finals off AGAIN)...Anyway, here are some CLASSIC joints that MUST have a place in ur music library if you consider your self even the slightest bit of a music fan. Not only are these three artists (Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Prince) legends, but they have served for inspiration for many of todays artist. If these songs dropped for the first time today, I could see them being #1s on charts, and that is what is known as TIMELESS

The Game- Camera Phone (ft Ne-yo)

Thursday, December 4, 2008

Drake- Say You Will

Usually wouldn't post a unofficial remix, but this is FIRE (I mea would you expect anything else from Aubrey??).

Jamie Foxx ft T.I.- Just Like Me (video)

Tuesday, November 25, 2008

Kanye West- Pinocchio Story (live from Singapore)

Here's the visual of the last song on 808's and Heartbreak, which is the live, freestyled Pinocchio Story. This song is about as deep and personal as they get, and u can feel the pain in 'Ye's voice

Ne-yo- Mad

This is a GREAT video and makes u wonder why more videos don't tell a story and still keep it creative...

Jamie Foxx- Why (Prod by Tricky Stewart)

Well if u know anything about Tricky Stewart, u know he doesn't make anything but hits..This one is no different...Intiution is continuing to climb the list of anticipation....

Usher- The Dirt

Well maybe this is a sign to come, and it might signal a reintroduction of the 'bad guy' side of Usher (if a R&B cat can really be bad???)...He tried to keep it personal, but unfortunately many people had the image of the pre-marriage Usher stuck in their head, and all the marital bliss discussed on Here I Stand just didn't appeal to all...I personally thought the CD was a banger, but his core fan base (women) prob weren't on hearing about Tameka Foster for 17 songs...

Saturday, November 22, 2008

Jamie Foxx- Number One (ft Lil' Wayne)

Well J.Foxx might as well jumped on the 999,999,999th remix of A-milli with the way this track sounds off the jump...Nonetheless its HOTTT and will be featured on next months release of 'Intiution.'

Lloyd- Loverboy

Anyone who has NOT gave Lloyd's last 2 CDs (Street Love and Lessons In Love) a good, thorough listen, has missed out on one of the most underrated R&B artist around right now. Both were FIRE, and while Lloyd' voice might not be the strongest, he knows how to make it work, especially over a hot beat. Hears some new material from Lloyd, check it...

The Dream- Rockin That Thang

Here's some new material from The Dream, supposedly off of his new album. Pretty radio friendly track that I wouldn't be surprised to hear as a single at some point..Check it out

Rockin That Thang

Thursday Visuals....

Slim- Good Lovin (ft Ryan Leslie and Fabolous)

Keri Hilson- Turnin' Me On (ft Lil Wayne)

Lykke li Ft Drake- Little Bit

Drake gets on his Kanye stuff with this one, but its still his own style and hott as ever..Lykke Li (WTH???) adds a cool, Cassie-esque flavor to the joint. This definitely sounds like it could have been on Kanye's new CD...

Ludacris- Theater Of The Mind

So Chris "Ludacris" Bridges said that his new 'Theater Of The Mind' CD was a classic. After a quick run through of all the tracks, I can honestly say while we don't have "Reasonable Doubt", or "Ready To Die" on our hands, Luda has really brought it, from his usual strong lyrical word-play, to hot production, to tons of features (10 out of the 14 tracks feature another BIG name artist). That being said, make sure you go out to the nearest music store and cop this joint next MONDAY (yes Monday instead of Tuesday).

Videos

Robin Thicke- Sweetest Love

Rihanna- Rehab (ft. Justin Timberlake)

Coldplay- Lost (ft. Jay-Z)

Young Jeezy- Crazy World

Saturday, November 15, 2008

Slim- Love's Crazy

Slim's debut album Love's Crazy has sprung a leak (surprisingly late considering it comes out Tuesday), and I'm feeling it pretty so far thru the first couple listens. 112 was/is one of my favorite R&B groups and I was expecting some heat from Slim, and it seems like he delivered. Make sure to go out and buy the album on Tuesday (11/18) and support Slim. Here are some select tracks that are early favorites of mine (besides the ones I've already posted).

Sweet Baby

Don't Say It

Friday, November 14, 2008

Lil Wayne- Stuntin (ft Drake)

Instead of posting the songs every other blog is posting from the Dedication 3, here's one with Drake, who seems to become pretty tight with Weezy and appears to have his full backing. Little known fact, Wayne actually spit a Drake verse at the MTV awards early this year

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

808's and Heartbreak

Kanye West- Amazing (ft Young Jeezy)

Kanye's CD will prob leak by the end of the night (AKA keep checking back)

Friday, November 7, 2008

Kanye West- Heartless (Video)

This video is dope to me, check it out

Usher- At The Time (Prod By T-Pain)

So, when we last left Usher, he was trying to figure out what to do to save his career after the lack luster sales performance of his Album Here I Stand (which is crazy to me considering from a mature standpoint that looks at evolution of an artist, H.I.S. might've been just as good as an album as the 'untouchable' Confessions IMO)...Well now, while in the midst of touring, it seems as though Mr. Entertainment has decided to try again, with the help from the likes of Ne-yo and others, and a brand new album is supposedly being geared up for the top of the year....

We'll see what happens, but in the mean time, here's a left over that is actually pretty cool, and features man-of-the-minute T-Pain production...Enjoy

At The Time

Go Hard- DJ Khaled ft Kanye West and T-Pain (Video)

Ne-Yo- My Diamond

Year Of The Gentleman was a pretty good album, I won't argue that. But to be totally 100, I expected a little more on the 3rd time around from Ne-yo. With the amount of solid, unreleased material that has surfaced, granted alot of them are demos, I'm starting to think that song selection might have been the issue. This is ANOTHER banger that is different, articulated like no other current artist is doing, and seemingly a good fit for the album title...Re-release????

T.I. feat Plies- Rydin

Even though standing these two "Giants" of rap on each others shoulders will leave you short of a regulation NBA rim (10 feet for those of you ignorant to that fact), they undoubtedly have a huge sound and presence when their lyrics are laid over a beat. Add a Nitti beat to the equation and you've got a song that requires a listen...

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

Novermber 4th, 11pm Eastern Standard Time: I WILL NEVER FORGET WHERE I WAS WHEN THE 1ST BLACK PRESIDENT IN UNITED STATES HISTORY WAS ELECTED. I can't remember a time when I was more proud to be an American. As this is a music blog, I'll let Jay-Z sum it up

'Rosa sat so Martin could walk. Martin Walked so Barack could run. Barack ran so our children could fly!'

Thank you for the courage, strength, and perseverance to run and become the US President Barack! While there is alot of work to do, I truly believe you are the man for the job. I am completely behind you, and hope the rest of the country is also because while u are seen as a savior, I know you cannot do it by your self....God bless

Ludacris (ft T-Pain)- One More Drink

Monday, November 3, 2008

Anyway....

Here's another track from Kanye's 808's and Heartbreak, once again on some COMPLETELY different stuff. Im actually digging the material I've heard so far, and respect 'Ye for trying something different..Man, sounds like homie went through some stuff w/ Alexis...(THX Y2k)

Drake- Friends With Money

Here is Drake's supposed first single, Friends With Money, off of his upcoming 'Thank Me Later' debut CD. If ur a PNL frequent, u already know that Drake is one of our 'next to blow up' picks...Witty lyrics, tight flow, and word play is Drake's game, check it out...

T.G.I.S....

Well we've officially made it to November, and do to some questionable Halloween choices of my own last night, I'm just coming around at 7pm. I hope everyone had a fun and safe night, ( and maybe caught a glimpse or two of the curve of the ass cheek hanging out the bottom of that french maid costume) Anyway since i couldn't give you all candy separately here's my Halloween offering to you all...

Ne-Yo and Fabolous on the same track... I'm going to save myself some time, you know what to do...

Ne-Yo feat. Fabolous- How I Do

**UPDATE**

Here's one more from the man with the best pen in the game entitled Comfortable...Shouts tp BMF for this joint

Ne-yo- Comfortable

I've been telling anyone that will listen that Florida native rapper Ace Hood is gonna blow. He's lyrics are anything special, but the energy in his voice and the way he rides the beat on every song is a rare talent... Do yourself a favor and take a listen to this one

Ace Hood- Get'em Up (prod. by Drumma Boy)

The Dream- So Real So Fake

Even though this is clearly a demo, anything feat. Dream and production by Tricky Stewart, is easily worth the listen... Expect to hear this song used by one of the 1st ladies of R&B in the very near future

So Real So Fake

T-Pain- Therapy (Kanye West)

Well, Thr33 Ringz has sprung a leak, supposedly by Apple (Itunes) of all companies, which means there could be some lawsuits involved. Here's a little sample of what is a HOTTT album (if u really would've guessed otherwise)

Lil' Wayne- Mrs. Officer/ Comfortable Video

Thursday, October 30, 2008

Jamie Foxx- Closer

Well damn, looks like Jamie isn't playin around...(Good looks to the boy Lowkey over @ UHTN)

Ryan Leslie- How It Was Supposed To Be

I'm not sure about you all, but I've been feelin most of the material R-Lez has put out. Its refreshingly different and is pretty smooth overall. This is one of my favorite joints that I've heard, check it....

The Dream- That Booty (ft Lil Jon)

Man, this is an interesting collabo, but u can count on this being a frequent in the clubs ASAP, as The Dream and Lil Jon come together for a banger. This is the first offering off of The Dreams sophmore CD, Love vs Money, yet ANOTHER CD that I am anticipating ..

Ne-yo- Don't Work That Way

Ne-yo seems to have a CRAZY amount of new/unreleased material, some of which I feel could have been added to or even replaced some joints on 'Year Of The Gentleman'...Check this one out....

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

T.I. ft Rihanna- Live Your Life Video

TIP carries over the success from the BLAZING HOTTT Paper Trail to a GREAT video

Nice With It.....

Slim (of 112) is putting out some HEAT, and this is no exception. His release of 'Love's Crazy' is clealy going underlooked...

Monday, October 27, 2008

T-Pain- Ringleader Man

Remember that joint T-Pain debut at the BET awards that EVERYONE was asking about..it has FINALLY leaked...Good looks to the boy Streets

Ringleader Man

Drake

WHY ISN'T DRAKE GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES??? Answer that, and you might also know the meaning of life...Im determined to do my part to MAKE SURE homeboi gets the respect/acknowledgement/recognition that he deserves, and I'll continue with 4 more BANGERS that u may or may not have heard

Rewind (ft Voyce)
I Want This Forever (ft Lil Wayne)

TALENT

Thursday, October 23, 2008

Keri Hilson- Return the Favor (ft Timbaland)

The video for the talented Ms. Hilson's 2nd single

Drake- Pop Rose (Trey Songz)

Heres another one from one of my FAVORITE current rappers, Drake, and his 'side-kick' Trey Songz...

(Thanks Y2k)

Ryan Leslie- Quick Sand

If u've been a frequent of PNL, u know that I'm looking forward to see what Ryan Leslie's debut CD will be like. Unfortunately, due to a number of issues, it has been delayed until February '09. This joint is pretty cool tho, and brings up the question of why the CD has been so difficult to get out if he's putting together quality materials like this? (shouts to Lowkey over at UHTN for tis one)....Keepin' coming
